29 Teams, One Great Cause: Pickleball Palooza Brings Plant City Together
The courts were full, the competition was friendly, and the Plant City community showed up in a big way for the 3rd Annual Pickleball Palooza benefiting the Friends of the Plant City Police Department Foundation.
On September 19, 29 teams took to the courts for a morning of pickleball, food, fellowship, and support for the men and women who serve our community.
What started as a fun tournament has quickly become one of our favorite Foundation events because it brings together so many of the people and organizations that make Plant City special.
A Community That Shows Up
From the first games of the morning to the final matches, the courts were busy with players competing, cheering one another on, and enjoying the event. But Pickleball Palooza is about more than pickleball.
Events like this give our community an opportunity to come together while supporting the mission of the Friends of the Plant City Police Department Foundation. The Foundation exists to strengthen the connection between our community and the Plant City Police Department and to provide support that extends beyond what traditional public funding can provide. Every team registration, sponsorship, volunteer hour, and shared post helps make that work possible.

What's Next?
Pickleball Palooza may be wrapped up for another year, but we are already preparing for our next major event. The 2nd Annual Pull for Police Clay Shoot Tournament is coming February 6, 2027. More details will be announced soon.
