Pickleball Palooza Served Up Fun, Fundraising, and Community Support

The Friends of the Plant City Police Department Foundation hosted its 2nd Annual Pickleball Palooza in September 2025, bringing 24 teams together at the Plant City Tennis Courts for a day of friendly competition, fundraising, and community support.

From the start, the event reflected what makes Plant City special: people stepping forward, businesses showing up, and the community rallying around a shared purpose.

The Foundation is especially grateful to Propagation Whiskey Bar and Kitchen, which sponsored the event and provided food for the players. Propagation owner Brandon Snyder also served as tournament director, helping keep the day organized, energetic, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

The event was also made possible through the support of Foundation board members, volunteers, and student volunteers from the Plant City High School Interact Club, who helped with the many behind-the-scenes details required to make the tournament run smoothly.

Players received swag bags filled with generous contributions from local businesses, adding another layer of fun and community spirit to the day. The tournament brought together competitive players, casual participants, police department members, and supporters who simply wanted to be part of something positive for Plant City.

More than a tournament, Pickleball Palooza created another opportunity for residents and law enforcement to connect in a relaxed, approachable setting. Events like this help strengthen the relationship between the Plant City community and the officers who serve it every day.

Funds raised through Pickleball Palooza supported the Friends of the Plant City Police Department Foundation and its mission to provide additional resources, support, and community engagement opportunities connected to the Plant City Police Department.

The continued success of Pickleball Palooza has helped establish it as a fun and meaningful Foundation tradition. The Foundation is grateful to every player, sponsor, volunteer, officer, and supporter who helped make the 2025 event such a strong success.
