Friends of the PCPD Foundation Hosts Record-Breaking Business After Hours Event
Updated: Jun 12

The Friends of the Plant City Police Department Foundation proudly welcomed business leaders, community members, supporters, and local officials to its Third Annual Business After Hours on May 28, marking the largest and most successful event in the Foundation's history.
After experiencing tremendous growth over the past several years, the event was moved from the Foundation's office to the Plant City Elks Lodge #1727 to accommodate increased attendance and provide a safer, more comfortable experience for guests. The decision proved worthwhile as attendees filled the venue for an evening of networking, community engagement, and connection.
As part of the Plant City Chamber of Commerce's Business After Hours program, the event brought together members of the local business community and residents who share a commitment to supporting Plant City and strengthening relationships with the Plant City Police Department.
The Foundation was honored to learn that this Business After Hours gathering was among the most attended Chamber events in recent years, highlighting the incredible support and enthusiasm of the Plant City community.
Guests enjoyed food provided by Outback Steakhouse, refreshments from Susan and David Sullivan with HTeaO Fishhawk, and the opportunity to learn more about the Foundation's mission and impact throughout the community.
The Friends of the Plant City Police Department Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to the Plant City Elks Lodge #1727 for hosting the event, the Plant City Chamber of Commerce for its partnership, and the many volunteers, sponsors, community leaders, and supporters who helped make the evening possible.
The Foundation exists to strengthen the connection between the Plant City community and the men and women who serve through the Plant City Police Department. Through community partnerships, fundraising efforts, outreach programs, and special events, the Foundation helps support initiatives that enhance public safety, officer wellness, youth engagement, and community trust.
The overwhelming turnout for this year's Business After Hours event demonstrates what is possible when a community comes together around a shared purpose. As the Foundation continues to grow, it remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities for connection, collaboration, and positive impact throughout Plant City.
We thank everyone who attended and look forward to seeing our community at future events.
